All HUG kitties have been tested for FIV/FeLV, had their initial vaccinations, have been spayed/neutered and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting a cat or kitten from HUG, click on the adopt button. You will be prompted to fill out an online adoption form. Please complete the form and wait to hear back from us. We will review your application and get back to you as soon as possible.  If there's a purrfect match we always deliver our kitties to their new homes. HUG is a nonprofit organization. We do not ask for a fee. Donations are tax-deductible and greatly appreciated.

Charon

Charon and Hydra made their grand entrance right in our bottlefeeders’ garage—talk about a VIP arrival! Say hello to Charon: This handsome black-and-white boy is cool, calm, and collected—the perfect chill companion. Charon loves string toys, gentle play, and soft rubs on his head and back (butt scratches are a no-go for our distinguished gentleman!). He’s not the biggest fan of being held, but don’t worry—he’ll show his love with quiet loyalty and sweet quirks. His signature move? Splish-splashing in any water he finds! If you catch him pawing around in a bowl or sink, just know he’s living his best aquatic life. While we’d love for Charon and Hydra to be adopted together, we’d consider letting them go to separate homes, as long as there’s always someone around to give them plenty of attention. If you’re in Nassau, Queens, or Suffolk County and your heart is ready for double the cuteness, just tap that adopt button and fill out HUG’s online form. One of our friendly humans will zip back to you quicker than a kitty chasing a laser dot!

Hydra

Hydra and Charon made their grand entrance right in our bottlefeeders’ garage—true VIPs from the start! Hydra, the black-furred beauty, is the life of the party and a professional lap warmer. Her absolute favorite game is fetch. When playtime winds down, Hydra transforms into a cuddle queen—snuggling up for head scratches, butt rubs, and endless love. Her heart is as big as her purrs, and she’s always ready to brighten your day with affection and adorable antics. One of our friendly humans will zip back to you quicker than a kitty chasing a feather toy!
